Robert Frost – The Road To Freedom

“Lodged Poem” by Robert Frost is a beautiful classic piece of written word. One of my favorite books, and one I often put on top of my reading list, is his “The Royal Road.” The poems within this book are truly exquisite works of art. In his book he includes the exquisite poems “Mrs. Hunt” and “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.”

The first poem in this collection is called “The Ladder to the Stars.” This poem starts out just as beautifully and eloquently as many of Frost’s other poems, but then it falters somewhat. It seems that Frost wanted to say something meaningful, but he just couldn’t quite find the right words. He turns back to the first line of the poem, “And now I’m lost for words.” And really, what can be more appropriate for such a beautiful poem about a ladder to the stars?

The next poem, “The Ladder to the Stars,” is perhaps even more gorgeous and moving than his previous poem.

Frost wrote this one while he was on his death bed. He was only thirty-three years old. “The Ladder” describes his departure from this world and his coming back. It is probably his most famous poem, and has been read by millions.

Another poem in this collection, “The Odes of Horace” is a very funny poem. Frost makes use of a wide variety of idioms, alluding to things like popular culture, his family, the way people talk, and even the way you’d treat your pet. If you have ever wondered what Horace might have sounded like talking or reading his poem, this is the book for you. If you have never read any of Frost’s work, this is definitely a must-read for the poet.

In his “The Queen of the Scots,” Robert Frost taps into the frustration and hopelessness that many of us have felt when we are alienated from others, when our hopes are unmet, or when we cannot get what we want out of life.

Whether it is a failed relationship, an unsuccessful career, financial depression, or personal misery, the poem explores the depths of human nature. Although depressed and sad, Frost gives us hope. He uses the language of poems to bring out the beauty within each person.

No one who appreciates poetry would ever question Robert Frost’s place as one of the greatest poetic authors of all time. His influence is still felt today. From school to colleges to a number of civic organizations and worship studios, many people will give a great deal of their evening or morning prayers to a clergyman or a minister who has read and appreciated the beautiful words that have come from the pen of Robert Frost.

Whether you attend religious services regularly or are just looking for a spiritual awakening, you cannot do without this poet. Whether you are simply trying to relax or desperately seeking to overcome some fears, the words of this man should be on your lips.

In his famous quote, “The world’s a garden filled with gold, and it is only the making that counts,” Frost captures the essence of life.

We all want more of the good things in life. Many people try to make their lives perfect. The Garden of Eden may be a beautiful dream, but most people would only settle for the now. Trying to live up to the desires of others would only cause one to work hard and feel bad about what they have. A poem by Robert Frost called The Road To Freedom, inspired by the civil rights movement, would touch upon many issues of freedom, such as racial injustice, poverty, and other issues that we face in our society today.

No matter if you consider yourself a poet or not, Robert Frost’s poetry has inspired many people. Whether you are a fan or a newbie, you would surely find The Road To Freedom and other such poems worthy of reading. If you are a fan, you would want to read it again.

And if you are a newbie, you can get your whole hearted grasp on this amazing work. Indeed I hope you will love and appreciate the poetry of Robert Frost.
